2.  In-person at Burnsville City Hall  (100 Civic Center Parkway, Burnsville, MN) on:

     Tuesday, September 2          6 - 7:15 pm

     Wednesday, September 3     6 - 7:15 pm

 

There is a $30.00 nonrefundable registration fee to be paid at time of registration. Late registration will be accepted on tryout dates with a $10.00 late fee.

 

PLAYER PARTICIPATION FEE
$350  New players     (includes uniform & basketball bag)
$310  Returning players   (includes uniform)

 

TRYOUT DATES at BHS (Burnsville High School)
Sunday, September 7, 2008      8th grade      3 - 5 pm  

                                                 7th grade      5:15 - 7:15 pm 

Players trying out on this day - ROSTER will be posted by Wednesday, September 10


Sunday, September 14, 2008     6th grade      2 - 4 pm

                                                  5th grade      4:15 - 6:15 pm

Players trying out on this day - ROSTER will be posted by Wednesday, September 17

 

Tryouts will be a ONE DAY evaluation per grade level.  Tryouts will be conducted by BHS Boys Basketball coaching staff lead by Bob Schweim and Ron York. Players will be evaluated on basic basketball fundamentals such as passing, dribbling, shooting, defense, and team skills. Sportsmanship and a player's attitude will also be considered during the evaluation process.

  • Please have players check in before tryouts. Players will be given jerseys to wear during tryouts at check in. Jerseys must be returned at the end of tryouts. 

 

  • Only players and evaluators are allowed in the gyms during tryouts.

 

  • Rosters will be posted online and at BAC Office located in Burnsville City Hall (100 Civic Center Parkway, Burnsville, MN).

BHS VARSITY PRACTICE Print E-mail

NEW this year!  Each traveling team has been invited by the BHS Varsity Coaches to attend a varsity practice and take part in other team activities.  This fun and exciting opportunity will give our traveling players and coaches a chance to learn from the high school coaching staff and high school athletes.  More information will follow at a later date.

PLAYER & COACHES CLINICS Print E-mail

We are excited to start the 2008-09 traveling basketball season with BHS Varsity Coaches Bob Schweim and Doug Boe, and Ron York conducting a player and coaches clinic.  This Varsity Clinic will take place in early November.  Time and location will be posted at a later date.  Boys Traveling Basketball would like to thank the BHS Varsity Coaches & Ron York for volunteering their time!

 

In addition to the Varsity Clinic, all traveling teams and traveling coaches will receive 2 team training instruction from Wear Out The Net Basketball Academy located in Lakeville.  Coaches will include former Minnesota Gopher Assistant coach Jay Williams, Gopher Captain Chad Lolander, former Carleton College Assistant coach Ross Peterson, & Wear Out The Net owner Randy Erickson.  More information to come on the team and coaches training.

 

Both clinics will be provided to traveling players and traveling coaches at no extra cost.
